Superb album by the Italian composer Claudio Primo.
He is at the origin of many musical projects in various groups: BandAdriatica, Adria, Tabulè, Tukrè, Manigold. For him music has no borders, no barriers, he is a citizen of the world in perpetual search of the meeting of cultures. He directs the "Giovane Orchestra del Salento", an ensemble of 45 young musicians from Salento, works with Goran Bregovic and also composes for the theatre. This album, composed entirely by Claudio Prima, is a perfect fusion of classical and traditional music. Surrounded by a string quartet: two violins (Vera Andrea Longo and Paola Barone), a viola (Cristian Musion), a cello (Marco Schiavone) and a percussionist (Vitro De Lorenzi), with the master remaining on the diatonic accordion. The music is soft, warm, sometimes dynamic, the songs take us into unusual, contemporary atmospheres, with diversified musical influences. We are lulled by the waves of the Adriatic Sea which separates the Italian peninsula from the Balkan peninsula. The bellows of Claudio Primo's accordion are present, warmly supported by the strings and percussion that take us on a journey through folk, classical and traditional music without ever falling into the easy way out!
