For a few years now, the three young Belgian brothers of the Dhoore trio have become the representatives of the new Flemish trad. music.
With a repertoire mainly of compositions their music is modern, dynamic and sounds very contemporary. Today Hartwin Dhoore presents us a magnificent album dedicated to his compositions and as a soloist. Minimalism in all its beauty the album Waterman takes us to the heart of traditional European music with sensuality, sensitivity and emotion without ever falling into the easy way. Waterman in Flemish refers to the sign of Aquarius which means "man of water" and I felt listening to this magic wafer a permanent movement like the movement of the tides that come and go (like the bellows of his diatonic accordion). Hartwin has a great musical practice and he doesn't let himself be confined in a style, what counts for him is the fusion of notes and harmonies. This first opus under his name is fragile, dynamic, subtle and sometimes with a punk energy ! A marvel of an album that pays tribute to the bellows box for our greatest happiness and we look forward to the continuation with impatience.
