Imar
Avalanche

An avalanche of melting Celtic music!
hat a dream cast to gather around a musical project of young musicians coming from Manran, Rura, Talisk, Barrette, Cara, Jamie Smith's Mabon and The Lowground! Only reference groups of the current folk scene trad, and this gave birth to Imar quintet of folk music trad with various influences: Scotland, Isle of Man Isle of Man .... But these talented musicians have created their own group sounds with the brilliant fusion of Moshen Amini's concertina and Ryan Murphy's uilleann pipe, supported by Adam Brown's bodhran that not only paces the tempo, but also brings notes bright, and the magic and warm bouzouki of Adam Rhodes. As of the opening title "Deep Blue" have embarked in an "avalanche" not of notes but of subtle and refined music all being dynamic. Unlike some young bands of this generation, Irma's musicians are not just virtuosos of speed! They send sensual music, played with emotion and sensitivity. This second album released last October is in the Top 10 sales of world music on iTunes in France (and currently No. 2 in the United Kingdom). When asked to present their music the answer is crystal clear: "As soon as we sat down to play together, it worked immediately."
