Jamie Smith's Mabon

The year 2018 marked the 20th anniversary of the Welsh band Jamie Smith's Mabon. To celebrate this event the merry team decided to produce a 100% live album recorded during the spring tour by John Eeles their loyal sound engineer. The artistic project is based on the compositions of talented accordionist Jamie Smith, surrounded by Iolo on drums, Oliver Wilson-Dickson on violin, Matthew Dawener on bass guitar, and new great guitarist Paul Rogers. In the early days Jamie Smith's Mabon was primarily an instrumental band, and over the years Jamie Smith's singing has arrived. The music and the arrangements have been refined, the accordion game has become lighter and more precise, and today it is a true group of universal inter-Celtic music that offers us a re-reading of its repertoire. The bet of a live album is happy initiative, because it is in concert that Jamie Smith's Mabon is the most impressive and on this album we find the energy and the sensuality of the stage.
