Laurent Cavalié

Bringing Occitanie's cultural heritage to life with words and sounds from today is what characterizes Laurent Cavalié's artistic approach. This unusual artist, is a citizen involved in various musical projects: Du Bartas, La Mal Coiffée, without neglecting his personal career, he produced last December his second solo album "My ombra e ieu - My shadow and me ". For this new opus Laurent's approach is even more personal, intimate, telling us about his deepest dreams, the mythology of Languedoc, the Canal de la Robine, the Mediterranean. We meet his favorite poets: Léon Cordes, Joan Bodon, Auguste Fourès, and personal texts. His warm, sometimes rebellious voice supported by his light accordion, traditional percussion and other issues from the plant environment give us the presence to talk to us deep inside each of us. All the texts are of an important emotional force the artist affirms his artistic choices as he specifies it in the title song of the album: My ombra e ieu: «if the world does not want of my song, my shadow and me we will be satisfied with it »
