Les Frères Paranthoën

In the Jungle

Gérard Viel

The accordion and violin meeting at the rhythm of Breton dance

For 25 years on the road with Spontus, within the collective Klam brothers Paranthoën (Alan and Youen) affirm their artistic project and have decided to put themselves in danger. Indeed it is their first recording in duet: diatonic accordion, violin and vocals. Their choice of minimalism for this album will date in the dance directory of the country Vannes. It is rare to hear the accordion and the violin fuse in this way! No leader but two artists sensitive to the service of music and creation for the happiness of the dancers. The very subtle and dynamic accordion bellows game meets the violin bow to offer us contemporary sounds totally in reference to their musical heritage. Beautiful moments of sung emotion "Kom a raer din" which despite their nostalgic atmosphere is very close to urban blues atmospheres. This album is of a rare musical and artistic intensity and makes us discover a trad music. alive and 100% contemporary.
