MÉLO'NOMADE

A musical journey not to be missed with the duo Melo'Nomade, which came into being in 2017 thanks to the artistic and human encounter between Raphaële Murer, classical cellist, and Magou Samb, kora player, guitarist and singer. It is the fusion of afro-folk and classical music for our greatest pleasure. Magou Samb learned the kora and the guitar, and then practiced religious singing. With a voice chiselled by the sea wind, he is the heir to the traditional songs of the Lebous fishermen of Senegal. Raphaële Murer was a solo cellist with the Ostinato orchestra in Paris and has worked with composers Klaus Huber, Ahmed Essyad and Gualterio Dazzi. She has worked with Emmanuelle Cadoret, the group La Blanche, and the group Morenka (lyrical music-world music). Her cello playing carries and enhances Magou Samb's deep and sensual singing.  Her kora with its crystalline strings gives an open dimension to this unusual and warm duo. Let yourself be carried away by this duet which bets on minimalism, emotion, sensuality and with texts full of humanity and human and social relations.
