The fusion of Celtic instruments in the service of a festive music, which never fall into the ease
The meeting of the Scottish bagpipe and violin that I had not heard for years, and supported by a bodhran and a guitar that have nothing to envy a rock band, while remaining acoustic. The notes of the bagpipe arrive with impressive virtuosity and mate with those of the violin to offer a dynamic and open music on the Celtic world. Rura became in a few years the reference group of the new scene of Scotland. A repertoire mainly of compositions with a Celtic sound of current music but without ever falling into an avalanche of rhythm drums bass drum sounds pop rock made for radios! Rura has a real contemporary art project and the production of the album highlights each instrument to present a dynamic music, festive and borrows roots.
To all lovers of music called "Celtic" and all festival programmers, cultural venues.
