A young Breton trio to discover without delay: SkeeQ! Imprononçable and without any Celtic message or other behind. Their goal is to sound their instruments: Floriane Le Potier on violin, Mael Lhopiteau on harp, Tristan Le Breton, and this first album is successful. Unclassifiable but interesting, these three musicians coming from different musical horizons: Irish, Breton, jazz and rock repertoires, embark us in their personal musical universe, endearing and open on our world. They suggest that their music would be Scandinavian inspired! Yes for the sound of the violin, but not for that of the harp, which nevertheless does not play Celtic! Mael's play is light, dancing, dynamic and brings an unusual color to the trio while leaving the beaten track Celtic. The open tuning guitar opens the door in an artistic world where everything is possible and where cross-cultural encounters are based on various traditions to bring out new music. The violin is the link and seems to come from the Nordic countries. The sound and mixing are particularly neat. With SkeeQ we are far from traditional music without souls and without interests, a group to follow! The new generation of trad, folk musicians is innovative and creative!
