Celtic music continues to spread everywhere and especially in Germany where it has been very popular since the 1970s.
A new group created in 2016, Ticket to Happiness is now producing its first album All Aboard. Composed around singer Jan Philipp Bäumer, banjoist Patrick Helle, Yannick's son on guitar and violinist Mona Kaczmarczyk, this sympathetic quartet revisits in twelve pieces a vibrant folk music. Their music is a clever combination of Irish folk, American country music, combined with music from southern Europe.
Ten original songs and two instrumental songs that not only bring a breath of fresh air but also give the four members of the group the opportunity to prove their talent. Energetic and dancing songs on the themes of love, peace or celebration underline the expressive voice of J.P. Bäumer. Himself based on the acoustic musical background resulting from the multiform instrumentation of the banjo, mandolin, guitars and violin, double bass and cajón. And the slight accordion touch of guest Kathi Koenigs.
The pretty voice of Mona the violinist brilliantly supports that of Jan Philipp, while the dynamic playing of Yannick's guitar enriches the band's sound. It's fresh, innovative, simple and friendly. A group to discover.
