Trio Bacana

TRANSATLÂNTIKÈR

Gérard Viel

The Klam collective is always open to the cultural world without borders: Spontus, Menace d'Éclaircie, Les Frères Paranthoen, the duo Menguy-Berenguer, L.A.B. and since last June a new album which is hot in the "Ker" with the trio Bacana. A subtle blend of Breton, Creole, Portuguese and French culture. The "ker" the heart in Reunionese Creole, rhythms the tempos without limits with an energy to move the mountains and a sensuality of voices and rhythms that will not leave you indifferent. The three singer-musicians: Barbara Letoqueux Enora Maillot, Enora Le Saouter, sing and dance to the sound of the pandeiro, the alfaia (wooden drum with animal skins, which are stretched by strings placed along the body of the instrument), supported in this album of electro sounds, drums and bass (Jimmy Poleya, Etienne Callac, and Soren Canto). It's a bit confusing at first listening, because the mix of sounds and the languages used are a disturbing one, but the magic quickly sets in and we are embarked in a musical universe that warms our hearts and souls in these troubled times. This is an album of worlds of music that we must not let pass, to be listened to with heart on hand and shared with friends.
