VAEV

 A great bath of rejuvenation and newfound festivity with the Danish duo VAEV. Imagine two non-beginner specialists: David Mondrup teaches electronic music, which he studied at the conservatory in Aarhus. He is also an expert on the melodica, the Indian harmonium and the grand piano! His partner Poul Lendal has been playing in the folk trio Lang Linken, Harpens Kraft for almost 50 years. He has taught traditional music at the Funen Music Academy.  In 2021 Poul Lendal was appointed King's Musician! These two lascars have decided to have fun for our greatest pleasure by hijacking all the musical codes. VAEV is not trad! it's not electro! it's not contemporary! It's the dance music of the VAEV duo! Our two artists have managed to merge their talent, their passion for dance and the joy of living! From a repertoire of traditional Danish dances and their own compositions they have fun to please us: Discover the violin, the harmonium, the melodica, the mouth harp, the spoons, the flute, the computer that marks the rhythm and the bass. But never the electro or the trad dominates one or the other, it's a real meeting and fusion of genres and sounds in the service of trance! and with a lot of humour and conviviality. To all lovers of revisited trad music and to all programmers of trad, folk, ethno or electro festivals, open your ears and your horizons, get off the beaten track and allow the public to discover VAEV.
